what is beyond p!nk?
Beyond Pink is the first conference of its kind in Western Canada, and will act as the launch event for the Young Women in Business network (YWiB) in March 2008. The event will feature an interactive workshop series, speaker and panel sessions hosted by individuals with extraordinary backgrounds and experiences, the Connect! Women in Business Tradeshow, a break out luncheon with cross-industry mentors, and a celebratory Gala dinner to wrap up the weekend.
who should attend beyond pink? | Beyond Pink will appeal to ambitious, positive, and forward-thinking young women from all backgrounds and industries. We developed the Young Women in Business network with the notion that we are all in the business of managing our careers and that we require many of the same skills and tools in order to reach our personal and professional potential.

why? | Beyond Pink will act as the launch event for the YWiB Network, and will be hosted in spring 2008 at the Sheraton Wall Centre in Vancouver, BC. This high-impact conference will bring together 200 energetic young women to participate in interactive workshops, engage with established leaders and experts through the speaker series, participate in unique networking events, and celebrate the achievements of aspiring and accomplished women in business. Our goal is that delegates will walk away from Beyond Pink inspired with the knowledge, will, and skill to begin pursuing their passions.

'Inside out' focuses on the idea that true success requires a solid understanding of one’s self before being able to create a professional life that reflects one’s core personality. The workshops and speaker sessions on the day one will provoke thought about one’s aspirations, values, and beliefs, while revealing that there is no cookie-cutter formula to leadership or success.
In addition, day one will feature “My Life Over Lunch”, the Connect! Women in Business Tradeshow, and an Evening Networking Event. “My Lunch Over Lunch” will connect Beyond Pink delegates with women from diverse and fascinating backgrounds to engage in discussions about a variety of real world issues facing women in business today. The Connect! Women in Business Tradeshow will present a comfortable environment for delegates and other business leaders to connect, while also highlighting local female entrepreneurs, various women’s leadership initiatives, and our featured sponsors.

'Outside in' builds on the foundation developed on Day One, but the focus shifts to aligning a professional path with one’s aspirations, values, and beliefs. Beyond Pink delegates will attend workshops and speaker sessions that will allow them to explore career options, create action plans for achieving career and life goals, and develop concrete tools and strategies for success.
Day two will also present the Dynamic Duos Panel Session. During this session, delegates will engage in a lively discussion with a panel of two power couples on the topic of balancing both work and a personal life. The Martini Reception and Gala Dinner will bring Beyond Pink to a close, while we reflect on the weekend and celebrate the future. This evening will also feature our Keynote Speaker and a Silent Auction to raise funds for our charity of choice, Women for Women International.
