Who We Are
Who is YWiB?
The Young Women in Business [YWiB] network is a non-profit society for emerging female leaders in Western Canada. The network acts as the central forum to connect ambitious young women from a variety of careers, industries, and backgrounds.
What Does YWiB Do?
YWiB consists of five different groups, each of whom target different groups of young women:
- YWiB Vancouver hosts a variety of events that provide our members (mainly young professionals and entrepreneurs) with opportunities to develop relevant skills and knowledge, so that they have the insight, support, and capability to reach their fullest personal and professional potential.
- The university chapters at UBC, SFU, KPU and UVic, serve the needs of young women who are still in school, teaching them valuable skills and sharing invaluable experiences through workshops, panel sessions & other events.
- Our annual conference Beyond P!nk brings together all our members to celebrate inspiration, learning and sharing each others’ stories.
How Can I Get Involved?
The YWiB KPU chapter accepts members throughout the school year. You can register to become and member and receive our newsletter on the Membership page. You can also find out about volunteer opportunities and networking events through our social media and blogposts.
