What is International Women’s Day (IWD)?

International Women’s Day is a global celebration that honours women’s achievements in both developing and developed countries. The weekend of March 8 has become a time to recognize the advancements made by women, and to raise awareness on what can still be accomplished. What is Our IWD Gala?

The International Women’s Day Gala is our contribution to this day. It is an annual event that was formerly a conference, and now an evening of celebration. It brings the SFU and Greater Vancouver communities together, engaging them in an evening filled with inspiring speakers and professionals. Delegates will have the opportunity to network with likeminded peers and professionals.

While on your personal path to success, encountering difficult obstacles is a task that everyone must overcome. We believe that through understanding how to leverage their strengths, young leaders will be better equipped to tackle challenges productively for both parties, while taking into consideration their societal impacts. This is why the gala theme this year, will be “Be Limitless.” Our focus is on building skills for your career by introducing techniques to solve adversity effectively.

This year’s IWD Gala will be held on Saturday March 4, 2017 – purchase your tickets, here!
