Who is YWiB?
The Young Women in Business [YWiB] network is a non-profit society for emerging female leaders in Western Canada. The network acts as the central forum to connect ambitious young women from a variety of careers, industries, and backgrounds.
What Does YWiB Do?
YWiB consists of eight different groups, each of whom target different groups of young women:
- YWiB Vancouver, YWiB Calgary, and YWiB Toronto host a variety of events that provide members (mainly young professionals and entrepreneurs) with opportunities to develop relevant skills and knowledge, so that they have the insight, support, and capability to reach their fullest personal and professional potential.
- The university chapters at UBC, SFU UVic, KPU, and USask serve the needs of young women who are still in school, teaching them valuable skills and sharing invaluable experiences through workshops, panel sessions & other events.
How Can I Get Involved?
The university chapters at UBC, UVic, KPU, and USask accept members throughout the school year. YWiB Vancouver, Calgary, and Toronto have a variety of involvement opportunities that are always being updated. Our chapter holds a recruitment period every September.
