{Entrepreneurship Roundtable}

Ever thought about becoming an entrepreneur? Or maybe you just have questions about what it takes to start your own business? On February 25th, all will be answered at YWiB UBC's annual Entrepreneurship Roundtable. With 5 amazing panellists lined up, the event will be an intimate take on traditional networking events. It's an opportunity to learn how these entrepreneurs started their own companies, the challenges they faced along the way and how they managed to overcome them.  It's going to be an evening dedicated to learning not just about entrepreneurship, but also small business management and the all the tools that are associated with it, including marketing, HR or operations. Space is limited, so make sure to RSVP here.

Without further adieu, let us present you our wonderful speakers

April Bellia - Founder, The Granola Girl @aprilbellia (theGranolaGirl)

April Bellia founded Granola Girl Enterprises, Inc in 2011 after 12 years of running a wedding cake business. As a mom-preneur, April wanted to create an everyday product with a focus on women and to celebrate the everyday girl. Granola Girl granola stands out with organic ingredients and a home-made taste, sweetened with maple syrup (no refined sugar here!). The bonus is 2 superfood ingredients: hemp hearts and goji berries. Beyond the yumminess factor and unique packaging, this simple granola cereal has a greater message; Granola Girl is building a community of like-minded fans who are active, support local businesses, fuel up with natural foods and create amazing and serendipitous experiences every day!

Sheila Comer - Founder, Pink Ribbon Bakery @PinkBakery

Sheila Comer is the owner of a custom cake and cupcake shop called Pink Ribbon Bakery, located in New Westminster. Sheila started creating custom cakes out of her own kitchen in 2010, with the first-ever being for her dad’s 50th birthday party. With such a positive response she began exploring the market and opened up the bakery in January 2012. With steady online cake orders and heavy walk-in store front traffic, Pink Ribbon Bakery is now the go-to place for any custom bakery needs.
