Ladies in Pink: YWCA Women of Distinction Awards

Recognized nationally as one of Canada's most prestigious awards for women, the YWCA Vancouver Women of Distinction Awards honour women whose outstanding achievements contribute to the well-being and future of our community. The Awards also honor businesses or organizations that support the wellness and diverse needs of their employees through a separate "Innovative Workplace" category.

YWCA Vancouver is seeking Ladies in Pink volunteers for the 2010 Women of Distinction Awards. Roles include:

-Raffle ticket sellers -Registration -Silent auction monitors -Set-up and clean-up

The event will be held Tuesday June 1,2010 at the Westin Bayshore 4:30 pm - 10:30 pm (times may vary depending on role).

Ladies in Pink: The FWE Entrepreneur Affair

FWE E-Series

Previously known as the e-series Graduation Event, The Entrepreneur Affair, is an annual celebration of the accomplishments of the women entrepreneurs involved in our e-series Program. E-series is a course of entrepreneurial training sessions that runs each year from January until June for women entrepreneurs of high growth, leveragable businesses wanting to take their company to the next level.

We are on the lookout for Ladies in Pink volunteers to help with day time event set-up, greeting, registration, coat check, and silent auction for the June 3rd event from 1 - 4pm, 4 - 9pm, or all-day.

Ladies in Pink: Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation Awareness Luncheon

April is cancer awareness month and what better way to help support the fight than to volunteer at the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation's 18th annual Awareness Luncheon on May 6th from 10:15 - 2pm at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver?

Ladies in Pink volunteers are needed to help with registration and 50/50 raffle ticket sales throughout the afternoon and will have the opportunity to hear Bif Naked's personal story and learn about early breast cancer detection from Dr. Paula Gordon.

Light snacks/refreshments will be provided.
