Inside YWiB Vancouver's First Open House
/On August 29th, YWiB Vancouver hosted an open house event at Mobify. Our team had the idea to bring the amazing women of Vancouver together to enjoy great conversations with great company and make great connections, all while experiencing the YWiB community firsthand.
Our YWiB Vancouver executive team was present to talk to guests about the story of YWiB along with our chapter's various offerings, from Membership and Mentorship, to Events and our annual Beyond Conference.
Several of YWiB's previous and current members, mentors, and speakers were present for the festivities. During the event, proud YWiB advocate Amanda Lee from Vancity spoke passionately about the power of supportive female communities. Outgoing and incoming YWiB Vancouver Presidents Kiran Dhinsa and Sarah Dixon also shared their fondest memories about their experiences with YWiB.
All in all, we felt that our first-ever open house event was a huge success. We greatly look forward to connecting with all of the amazing women we met in the upcoming year!
Thank you to our event sponsors and supporters Mobify, Tangerine, Moja Coffee, Saltspring Kitchen Co., East Van Jams, and I Like Her Style Vancouver for your kindness and generosity.
A special thanks goes out to Barbara Faggiotto for photographing our evening of incredible memories. View all of the amazing photos on our Facebook page.
